For mounting road blocks and robbing trader of N57k, masquerades now in police net

The 2 masquerades were arrested today by policemen at Ovoko community, Igbo-Eze South LGA of Enugu State for robbing a trader, Chinonso Ezewaji, along the Nsukka-Obollo-Afor Road.

DAILY POST gathered that in the past few weeks, masquerades had continuously mounted road blocks in the area and inflicted heavy wounds on motorists while dispossessing them of their valuables. .
When the police team reached Ovoko where the masquerades were operating, two of the policemen in the bus pretended as if they wanted to give the two masquerades money; they stretched their hands to collect it and that was how they’re handcuffed while others ran away.
When one of the arrested masquerades was searched, Indian hemp was found in his pocket. Enugu State Police PRO, DSP Ebere Amarizu, confirmed the incident, noting that investigation has commenced into the matter
