Barcelona forward and four-time FIFA ballon d’or winner, Lionel Messi, has commenced training with the clubs reserve team ahead of their El-Classico with Real Madrid scheduled for Saturday November 21.
Barca team B manager, Gerard Lopez, has confirmed the report.
“Leo completed training. I saw him well and I am glad that the recovery is positive,” he said.
“I saw him happy and lively.
“Messi adapted to our training and even helped with tactical aspects to prepare the team.”
“I am delighted that we could have him for two trainings with us and not lose two days of recovery work.”
The 28-year-old Argentine has been out of action since September after sustaining an injury playing against Las Palmas.
His side now tops the Spanish La-liga table with three points clear ahead of their rivals, real Madrid.
Leo, has so far, been El-classico’s top scorer of all time with 21goals. He has so far played seven league matches scoring thrice this season for Barcelona.
